A pack of activities to help students learn their times tables without becoming disengaged.

Includes: Activities using 100 charts, times table wheels, bingo, dominoes, times tables strips, games, posters, I have…who has activity and fortune tellers.

The activities would suit a variety of levels from Year 3 to 6

This resource is designed to be used for any age of child that does not know their times tables. The goal is for students to instantly recall their times table facts. Rote learning is how many students learn but repetition can be boring. Add these activities to engage the students.

How to implement this resource.

Decide at what level your students are to start. You may want to ignore the 2x tables and the 10x times tables if your students already know these well. If they are new to times tables, start at the 1x and add in others as they go. Many of the activities can be used for all levels.

Use the activities regularly. You can…

1. Start your maths lesson with an activity.

2. Add an activity to maths stations.

3. Create a series of times tables maths stations for rotation each day.

4. Use the activities as fast finishers.

5. Use them as a lesson transition.

6. Create multiple lessons with these activities to focus on times tables.
